Motorola Solutions DP2600e
The Motorola Solutions DP2600e is part of the DP2000e digital radio range designed to offer dynamic communications and seamless connectivity. A scalable solution it works with interconnected repeaters to provide extensive coverage in a difficult location or large workplace.
With 128 channels it is ideal for small to medium sized organisations and can be programmed to operate on both analogue and digital frequencies. It features a display and partial keypad and 4 programmable buttons to improve user efficiency.
Features
The DP2600e series is part of the revamped Motorola MOTOTRBO portfolio and offers you a scalable digital solution that is easy to use and delivers operation critical voice communications. This UHF and VHF radio series operates in analogue or digital mode providing the flexibility to meet your organisation’s communication needs now and into the future, while delivering improved audio quality with up to 29 hours of battery life for 3 shift working using the innovative IMPRES smart energy system.
Motorola’s intelligent audio technology automatically adjusts the radio volume to compensate for loud ambient noises so you can always hear your team members clearly and avoid any loss of voice transmission. This feature along with the enhanced IMPRES audio provides intelligible communications in noisy environments.
The DP2600e features a 2-line LCD display operating in day or night mode and a half keypad for easy menu navigation. This radio also has a number of programmable buttons that can be assigned to key functions so you motorola dp2600e can quickly access the functionality you need rather than having to navigate through the menus.
IMPRES Audio
The DP2600e delivers best-in-class audio in the world’s most scalable digital portable two-way radio solution. From monitoring a manufacturing unit to working on a construction site, the DP2600e provides crisp, clear communication with Intelligent Audio and voice announcements. And its IP67 rating offers day-in, day-out durability to withstand harsh conditions.
Motorola exclusive IMPRES audio accessories communicate with your radio to optimize its output performance, suppress ambient noise, improve voice intelligibility and enhance loudness – even in noisy environments such as a crowded airport terminal, busy bus or train, or the ear splitting shriek of emergency service sirens. IMPRES remote speaker microphones, surveillance kits, temple transducer headsets and specialist earpieces all help ensure that your message is heard loud and clear.
IMPRES batteries feature an onboard display that accurately reports remaining battery capacity to help reduce inventory management and downtime. And IMPRES chargers automatically evaluate each battery’s usage patterns to determine the optimal reconditioning cycle, saving you time and money on maintenance. Plus, IMPRES chargers prevent overcharging which can damage batteries. The result: IMPRES batteries last up to twice as long as standard batteries — so you can work longer without needing to reload your radios.
2-Line LCD Display
Motorola’s MOTOTRBO DP 4800e digital handheld radio delivers text messaging capability and integrated data communication like never before. The DP 4800e hand portable is operational in both digital and analogue modes and has a full colour Day & Night display that makes it easier to read text messages. It’s a versatile and cost-effective solution to meet your radio needs and is designed to seamlessly integrate into your current two way communications system.
The LCD module has a green backlight that sits behind black coloured characters. It has 8 data lines DB0 to DB7 that are connected from the microcontroller to the LCD panel as shown in the diagram. The RS and RW lines determine whether it is a command (RS=0) or actual data being sent to the LCD.
The data register takes an ASCII value and generates a pattern for the motorola dp2600e LCD’s dot matrix. The VS pin is an output from the center terminal of a potentiometer(voltage divider). When the VO (Display Contrast) input from the microcontroller is activated it connects to the VS pin, and as you adjust the resistance in the potentiometer you can vary the voltage to change the contrast of the screen.
Lone Worker Remote Monitoring
Whether your team is working on a construction site or in a remote difficult terrain this radio can be programmed to alert a designated response group that the user has not moved for a preset time. This enables response teams to be dispatched immediately without having to manually activate the alarm feature on each individual radio. This feature can be added to the dp2600e by purchasing optional software licences.
This feature is also useful for lone workers in the field who may have suffered an injury or fall and need assistance. It utilises an accelerometer and GPS sensor to monitor movement or horizontal tilt. It will notify a designated response group if the radio is not in movement or has tilted past a pre-set angle.
This is an excellent safety feature which can be programmed to work alongside existing analogue systems and enables organisations to make the switch to digital at their own pace. It can be enabled with privacy options to prevent eavesdropping and radios can be remotely disabled in the event of misplacement or theft.
Text Messaging
DP2600e is an ideal choice for those who need to communicate in potentially dangerous environments such as construction or manufacturing. Featuring lone work and private/group calls it enables employees to be monitored without disrupting colleagues while non-verbal communication can take place in the form of pre-programmable text messages which are sent via one of three programmable keys.
The DP2600e uses digital communication but can also be programmed for analogue so that it will work alongside your existing radios. Digital communication has a range of benefits including increased coverage and advanced audio technology which can filter out background noise meaning you can be heard even in noisy environments.
Enhanced privacy features help to prevent unwanted listeners by using 40-bit encryption to keep your communications secure. Other key features include a move alarm, man down and work order ticketing. Easily program your radio via the menu screen or remotely using the MOTOTRBO Connect® software. Text-To-Speech reads telemetry, channel names and other information aloud so you don’t need to look at your radio to know what’s happening.
