FIGS. 3A through 4C show variation of conforming endoscope of FIG. 2. FIG. 3A shows a partial perspective view of elongate and bending sections 306 and 308, respectively. FIG. 3B shows a cross-section through the insertion tube. The vertebrae of FIG. 3A are joined in one plane. FIG. 3B shows a cross-section through the elongate and bending section 306 of the endoscope.
Variations in the outer perimeter cross-section of an endoscope
The outer perimeter cross-section of an elongated https://www.smarttechmed.com/product-category/endoscope-replacement-parts/video-heads-buttons/ may have two or more protuberances. It may also have a substantially triangular outer perimeter. The bending section of an elongated endoscope matches the inner cross-section of the lumen of the body. A noncircular outer perimeter cross-section may match the shape of the vertebrae within the endoscope.
Handling characteristics of an insertion tube
The bending section of an endoscope is the section of the endoscope that is most vulnerable to damage. It is made up of oddly shaped metal rings connected by freely-moving joints. Each of the joints contains pivot pins that are offset by 90 degrees. Pulling on the wire at the 12 o’clock position causes the bending section to curl up. Pulling on the wire at the 3 o’clock position causes it to curl to the right. Pulling on the other wires causes it to curl to the left or right.
Variations in the tip bending response
In this study, we studied the variation of the tip bending response of bending section of endoscopes. To measure this variable, we measured the maximum tip bending angle and the slackness of the cable. These measurements were captured by a hysteresis plot. The shaft of the endoscope is in its straight position, and the cables are loosely fitted into the guiding tubes. When the wheel is rotated, it first tenses the cable and then relaxes. The resulting virtual play is measured by measuring the bending response of the tip while turning the small and large wheel separately.
Suction system
The Suction system for https://www.smarttechmed.com/ is a surgical tool used to bend and manipulate the bending portion of an endoscope. The bending section is attached to a flexible tube that runs through the insertion tube. Four angulation wires run along the insertion tube and are attached to the tip at different points. Pulling on the wire at the 12 o’clock position causes the bending section to curl up, while pulling on the wire at three o’clock results in the right tip deflection. Other wires are attached to the left and right sides of the bending section.
Objective lens
The Objective lens of an endoscope increases the field of view of the endoscope. The objective is designed so that its entrance pupil is telecentric in image space and connects with the relay system. Figure 5 illustrates a typical endoscope objective. The relay section is responsible for determining the optical invariant of the system. The direction of view prism determines the position of the pupil and the length of the optical tunnel controls the angle of the exit pupil.
